چکیده
Background: Previous studies have pointed to the major role of viruses in pathogenesis cancers, especially lymphoproliferative cancers. Objectives: The current study investigated relationship between recent Human Herpesvirus Type 6 (HHV6) infection and childhood leukemia-lymphoma syndrome. Methods: From January 2011 December 2012, we entered every new case acute lymphoblastic leukemia, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, myeloblastic Hodgkin lymphoma as group (n=48); moreover, 60 patients were randomly selected controls from hospitalized children without infectious agents myocarditis department pediatric cardiology Shiraz, Iran. Immunophenotyping bone marrow or lymph node biopsy was performed for group. DNA extracted all collected samples using a extraction kit (Invitek Company, Germany), Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) U38 gene HHV-6 detection genome both groups. Results: In group, 48 with age range 0-18 years assigned four subgroups: 1- Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, 2- Myeloblastic 3- Lymphoma, 4- Lymphoma. there positive PCR patients: One one Non-Hodgkin two Lymphoma subgroup. None T-cell had PCR. frequency HHV6 not significantly different (8.3%) control (1.6%) groups (P=0.169). No detected leukemia/lymphoma patients. Conclusion: As evidenced by results present study, has no significant difference T-Cell healthy people.

Human T Lymphotropic Virus Type I (HTLV-I) Oncogenesis: Molecular Aspects of Virus and Host Interactions in Pathogenesis of Adult T cell Leukemia/Lymphoma (ATL)
The study of tumor viruses paves the way for understanding the mechanisms of virus pathogenesis, including those involved in establishing infection and dissemination in the host tumor affecting immune-compromised patients. The processes ranging from viral infection to progressing malignancy are slow and usually insufficient for establishment of transformed cells that develop cancer in only ...

Human T-cell lymphotropic virus type 1 , 2 (HTLV-1, 2) is endemic in Particular Areas of the world in which it is associated with myeloid leukemia. In this study, we described the prevalence of HTLV-1, 2 in myeloid leukemia and Mycobacterium Tuberculosis in Iran. We have worked with tissue and blood samples for 2 years. These were the same samples which were positive for myeloid leukemia, Mycoba...
متن کاملAdult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma not associated with human T-cell leukemia virus type I.
We describe five patients with adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL) with neither integration of human T-cell leukemia virus type I (HTLV-I) into their leukemia cells nor anti-HTLV-I antibody in their sera. These findings indicate that HTLV-I may not have been involved in leukemogenesis in these patients. The clinicohematological, cytopathological, and immunological features of HTLV-I-negative A...

متن کاملThe Enigma of Human T-Cell Leukemia Virus Type-1 (HTLV-1) Infection in Iran
Human T-cell lymphotropic virus type-I (HTLV-I) was the first human retrovirus associated with malignancy. The prevalence of HTLV-I infection varies significantly in different regions of the world. In this study, the prevalence of HTLV-I infection among ethnic Jews living in Shiraz, South of Iran, was investigated. 286 blood samples were obtained. HTLV-1 antibody assay on serum samples was d...
